I'm not quite sure why you would say that. :) These are original paintings under glass and jewelry pieces - the prices I offer here are considerably lower than at most general shows that I do. I know a lot of furry artwork is drastically underpriced (as in unrealistic for the time and materials involved) or hobby work, but I do this for a living and would hope my work is worth a little more than minimum wage. :)
A lot of people in hobby fandoms are a hair unrealistic about the whole "original art pricing" thing. The anime fandom in particular can be really annoying; I just came back from a show where I had a guy ask me for a couple drawings in cute/shrunken chibi style and I said okay but let's do one at a time, $20. Then he came back later and asked if that was for just the one drawing? I had to tell him hey, you know, normal con sketches I do (held one up) are $40+, at which he visibly blanched. :p
That is so sad. : / $20 for an original drawing, no matter how sketchy, is pretty crazy! I guess there are just so many hobbyists in the fandoms like that that people generally don't have realistic ideas about what art is worth or the amount of work that goes into it.
Unfortunately the way I do them there's really no way to do them on drinking glasses - they are water sealed but not waterproof. I'm not really aware of any sealant that would end up food safe/washable on glass (that wouldn't require firing which would destroy the painting).
