Let me start with new years resolutions i gave to myself last art progress:
Improve anathomy - Ok kinda did
improve color palletes - Also kinda improved - everything's less vibrant now?
learn watercolors - did like 3-5 drawings - NAILED IT
learn to design characters and buildings and do concept art in general NOPE
FINISH THE GOD DAMN FURSUIT (im waiting for the supplies to arrive too long ;;) STILL NOT FINISHED AHAH NOPE
And now for 2016 - what a crappy year it was, but at the same time a great one. It was a year of great change. I had to decide on subject and school i will want to apply to as my time is ticking, so a lot of thinking went into what im doing with my life. Also, i realized that most of my teenage years are gone so i though - crap i need to have problems and things to cringe about in the future - and so my ironical emo phase started and boy, im having fun.
It was so hard to find good example for each month tbh, i had some super productive months and then some where i drew like one art ugh
Yeah so ill try to capture my ups and downs, as writing the whole year's history is boring for most of you am i right?
January-March - dead months oh my god i was so dead, i drew one picture for month if not more
April - I began to illustrate for a book project thing called Tenera, which is kinda cool i guess?
May - First daily deviation!!!!1!!!111
August - I went from top to bottom in like 2 weeks. You see, long story short - i had a bad feeling, then the bad feeling became reality, existential crisis because oh god i was right
October - I brought myself back together and was very happy about the new change (also seen in art style)
November - I pulled 4 full illustrations, then died of exhaustion for next two weeks
Also, this year i started to draw more humans which makes me very happy. I think i learned a lot, im slowly finding my place in the world and i never feet so stressed like i do right now (uni and all the final exams are coming closer every day help)
2017 art resolutions:
Paint a god damn human
Make a short movie
prepare your portfolio you lazy butt
more interesting sketchbook?
GENERALLY DRAW MORE (like everyday)
