I saw! It was a really nice, positive interview, which is great. As for the comments, I think that online comments on mainstream outlets tend to be pretty toxic by default -- the only people who really take the time are trolls and folks for whom shouting at anonymous strangers online is basically their hobby. A shame, but nothing to get too upset over <3

What did you expect? This author's novels are niche product, aimed at gay furry males. When some epic genius (or troll, as an example of Poe's law) advertised this kind of literature to wider audience, saying it's some kind of political manifesto, community's reaction couldn't be different, I think. It's only natural.
