Archmage Frevashi, "He-who-cheapens-Death-itself"
Frevashi had always been a peculiar mage. He can stir the smallest bird and greatest desert-beast with the same whimsical fancy. He can re-resurrect another necromancer's zombie, turning it into his own minion. He can re-resurrect the same skeleton a hundred times over. He can even 'feel' through the bones, as if they were part of his own body. For these, and other reasons, many consider him the greatest Necromancer alive.
On the other hand, his powers would only ever work in direct contact with the bones. Sure, he can revive a sandworm, but the moment he lets go, the bones drop dead again. A significant number of mages considered that evidence of his incompetence: "It' must be a cheap trick!", and "You don't even grasp proper resurrection theory!" were common insults thrown at his ears. Especially his repeat-resurrections got him known as a 'cheapener' of the whole concept of death. He made the eternal passing of life seem more like a frivolous revolving door, which sat uneasy with the unenlightened masses.
His charm and spectacular displays of power got him up to the position of Archmage of the Trikhovian College of Magic, upon which he promptly left to travel the world, to learn more about his craft.
He travels around on Atmu, the dehydrated corpse of a sand Naga, with a dashing collection of scarves.
All in all, I'm pretty glad with this one. Thanks to Zoroastrism and the ancient Akkadians for the names!

Don't know much about Akkadia, I am more of an Assyria fan myself, what with the conquering and cruelty and excellent armies and all. And- I wonder that the year does not run from winter solstice to solstice. I mean, if me and the other priests have been marking shadows for 6oo years that would just stand to reason.
I have just read that Nimrud has been utterly destroyed by the Isis crowd. 3000 years old and a victim of the most ignorant peoples since the Millerites.
Oh yeah, nice Mage!
