Comission for
tails-zet of his Wolf character having a warm soothing shower, deeply scrubbing every roll, he's bound to go trough more than one bottle of shampoo to clean that much fluff~
I'm sure the thought might have come earlier for others, but i've learnt that the only way to get better at art is so get out of your comfort zone as far as possible, and unfortunately it's called that for a reason
I've always wanted to improve upon drawing fur textures, and i've tired many times in the past few weeks, this time however i took it a bit more seriously, i watched a few youtube tutorials and refs on how to properly draw fur textures, and boy was it hard, i tried to emulate what was being drawn in the videos but the first few times i really wasn't happy with it and got very stressed out, so i took a short break and got back into things, still very nervous
The last time however went better than i expected, i made quick brush strokes which made the tuft end in a point, which is just what i needed, i started working on the chest, the arms and the gut, and i was actually pretty happy with the result! I added some extra highlights and it turned out even better! This pic took a long time to do, half of which was spent on the fur and getting the hang of things, but it was definitely worth it~
Oh gosh sorry about that long ramble there, just wanted to get the message across to never hesitate on trying new things, and if you fail which will happen a lot, grab a snack, watch some funny videos, and try again x3
But yeah i hope the fur textures look good, i wanted to make it a lot wetter since now the fur kinda looks like water splashing, but i'll learn that another day i suppose~
Please enjoy! Thank you for your support ^^

what i need to get out of my comfort zone, is drawing hair styles (because i've never really drawn other styles of hair and some characters or other peoples fursonas can have different styles of hair and such) i just havent done that due to me not drawing creatures that have hair, also i like this picture, its very enjoyable to see ^^
