As an old-school comics fan, I might add that this did not remind me of Shrek so much as it did of Torchy the Donkey, a character that appeared in the newspaper strip Gasoline Alley during the 80's. Little Torchy was an adorable baby donkey with an odd-shaped tail -- the hair at the end formed an arrow-like point instead of the usual tuft. And for some unknown reason, fires always seemed to occur whenever the little guy was around, even though nobody ever saw him actually setting one . . .

I'm not saying that Shrek got the idea for fire-breathing donkeys from Gasoline Alley, but it IS an interesting coincidence.

That sounds like a fun character. I had never heard of him before.

Mael and I have a little red dronkey plush that we got with our Shrek 3 dvd.^^ I keep it next to the little one of Donkey that came with our Shrek one. Kind of so he can be near his daddy. XP That's really cool the one you saw made you think of me and thanks for the lovely comment^^
