I love making these every year. Something so exciting about seeing progression right there in front of you.
2016 has been a fantastic year for me, both personally and art-wise. I feel like I've made some of my absolute best work this year, far beyond what I've previously been capable of. Glad to see far less ponies from a progression standpoint too. Hoping next year will have some fursuit work and more complex projects :). I've gotten far more confident with anthros (and actually prefer them now).
This year I've:
- Paid off my new embroidery machine (that has allowed me to take on and speed up larger projects)
- Gained confidence in anthro patterning
- Learnt a tonne about making and patterning clothes
- Moved to a larger rental
- Went overseas for the first time
- Started my patreon (I think this year?)
For 2017 I'd like to:
- Start fursuit making. Make partials to start with
- Learn more about molding and casting
- Make an art doll
- Sculpt, mold and cast my own fursuit blank/s (ragdoll cat for starters)
- Continue to push pattern making and plush techniques
- Make more unique anthro plush
- Start using more faux fur in plush (shudders)
- At least start my Ratchet fursuit/cosplay
- Make a raichu plush I actually like
