An old man is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old man simply replied, “The one you feed.”
This is the second song following "Two Wolves" that I wrote for an album I would like to release next year, as well as for my Tech class, using Cubase and a variety of MM6 and VST instruments. Here we have a more solid conflict resolution, though using elements present in the previous song. For this I chose a more solid and chiffy flute to go with the piece rather than ocarina or voice, although I still think it came out fairly well despite the mixing going awry about halfway through the first iteration of the main melody. My apologies if this came out a bit too quietly, I'll likely go back to this at some point and make corrections in the final mixdown.
Hope you like! Dedicated to
SpiritWolfe as one of two themes for my mate. <3
(Special thanks to
tonyasong for letting me know that this is NOT a Cherokee fable, as I mistakenly believed. Please make sure and check out her amazing musical work and read this link for more information: http://apihtawikosisan.com/2012/02/check-the-tag-on-that-indian-story/)

Nicely done piece here. The flute attacks come out nice.
just a quick note. The Two Wolves story, while a nice one, is actually not Cherokee: http://apihtawikosisan.com/2012/02/.....-indian-story/

Huh...well...man. I...don't know what to say. After reading that, I'm crushed. Like... :< *sigh* I should have known better, feel like an idiot for perpetuating this.
All right, well...I may have to reconsider the name for this one. At the very least I'll take off the Cherokee part. I know that ignorance kills, and wisdom elevates, but regardless, I'm very sorry about my role in this. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks so much! Was thinking very strongly of using this as potential cover art: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12820261 :}
