After all the combat-heavy pieces I've done, I felt that I needed a break from it to focus on character building/interaction and environment detail. This is the first of a series of "slice-of-life" stories to try and develop the characters a little more, and my first attempt at actually trying to establish a well-defined setting, rather than just leaving it to the imagination of the reader. Critiques, suggestions, and comments of any kind are welcome.

This particular part is more or less just setting up the general tone of the story, and focuses on my Lucario girl almost exclusively, though the rest of my characters will have their turn in my crosshairs in due time. XD
