"Each predator had a distinct style of devouring his prey. Although both were rapacious in their appetites and relished the taste and act of eating their prey, both were different in their consumption. The crocodile was brutishly efficient in his hunger. There was little refinement to how he ate, though it was clear that there was much joy in it. His teeth and snout formed a perpetual smile, yet to his prey, it was as good as a sneer. The reptile's conceit and pleasure was clear from his expression and body language: how he messily devoured his prey yet left them squirming and intact before he swallowed them alive. He even seemed to casually let one of the hapless people he intended to eat hang free from his maw before a quick toss of his jaws doomed the straggler to those primeval crocodilian jaws. He seemed to relish every massive swallow that gave his throat an unseemly, writhing bulge before those within slid down his throat.
The fox had a more taunting style. Those who held on for dear life outside his maw had a full view of where they would fall. The monstrous, crimson vulpine gave a wide smile. For he relished his meal and savored it immensely. He was careful with his fangs, yet far less so with his tongue as he forced it upon the creatures squirming in his jaws. The large, salivating muscle glistened with saliva as it eagerly tasted the fear of those he ate and felt their writhing. His violet eyes had a mischief to them. Whereas those of the crocodile were cold and reptilian, those of the fox glimmered with mirth. He enjoyed his meal and those who feared for their fate in his cavernous stomach. Yet, as with his fellow
predator, he seemed to enjoy the act and the taste of those he imprisoned in his maw."
This art is one of the best commissions I have gotten in recent memory. The artist,
voraciousollie is extremely talented and conscientious. I am very happy with how the piece turned out.
I also wish to credit some of the ideas in this piece to
titanleon, who proposed the idea of a prominent neck bulge for my character and a mawshot for his. His character is also very handsome and definitely contributes to the overall excellence of this piece.
