They sometimes do it to induce vomiting or get a taste out of their mouth (well, from what I gathered from a Bug's Bunny cartoon..). Or it could be just the natural instincts of just.. wanting to chew. Who knows.

they just do it. there's no specific reason why dogs eat grass. My little sister was studying to become a veterinarian, and she corrected me on this a few years ago ^^;
