' As the blackened pools seeped through the corners of her room, etching their darkened evil into the bubbling paint I felt nothing but sorrow. Curling fingers that dared to pierce my darkening flesh, I let the tears flow once more, droplets of salt water bouncing off the ashen forearms below making the single flame of the candle in my hands flicker with imminent death. The whispers of the abyss flowing through my hair and into my ears, it's sweet alluring promises of release and peace.'
"Come.. join uss.. Be free~" It cooed with promises..
I felt my hand lift on it's own, intent to snuff the single flame of my life out without a second thought.. My body shutting down as the tears escaped me even more, the warmth from that single flame keeping me alive, as the tingles of chilling death graced my knees like a long lost lover..
" I can't..I can't.. " I say slowly, repeating the words over again for my own sanity.
"Yesss... Give in to usss " The voices ring like a dark serpent around my head.
Forcing me to shut my eyes, I dare not let go of the candle in my hands, I needed to be strong and I wouldn't let the darkness win this one.. not for this. This candle, is my strength.. my light and I will not.let.go. '
