Quick question though, if it's not a spoiler. Why is he always
shy or out of sorts, when drawn by himself?

He is kinda uncomfortable in that kind of setup. He see himself more as a badass little assassin then a eye candy.
Ashley tend to bring him out of his shell so he looks less shy when Ashley is around.
