The last of her kind
I may or may not write the story behind it. The Lynx is the last of her tribe of active predators in the bad old days. He's an old Snowshoe Hare on the far fringe between civilized and wild territory.

Documenting the find. In years past, it was a bit of a trading post, but as wild populations dwindled, it become more of a point of contact or transition for the last of the wild to give up the old ways. He is sort of the last of his kind as well, the solitary hare on the fringe of the wild.
