Things I'm totally okay with:
Organic and cyborg/android characters.
All genders.
Most body types (but no extreme ends of the scale in any directions, I'm also better at lean or muscular).
Things I won't do:
Major background edits! I will make some minor edits to the beams in the mine if the characters look like they'd be better off with wooden instead of steel beams etc... If the characters are very modern I might add some forgotten machinery to the bg etc... But no major edits.
Please ask if there's any questions, anything I've missed.

Na they can be other animals, I think it'd be wishful thinking to get the Ideal Animal, I sell these for outside input as much as money so if I was going to be that limiting, why bother you know?
Maybe one day I'll properly revisit it as someone capable of crafting an actual story, I was... gods... 11? 12? When I came up with those characters, and the story showed it. If nothing else the dog character was called Kitty... SMH

Hopefully yes! I personally give a great importance to the context, the story etc, certainly because I like the idea of creating universes for different characters. I tolerate adult themes especially if there is a real sense behind it but I won't be tempted by them except when it'll serve the story. ^^
So yeah, I'm following you thanks to the great works you can produce independently of the subjects but I'm part of this non-smutty pieces public for sure! xP

I enjoy it both with and without context, but I don't want to end up only doing that, you know? I get antsy if I look at my gallery and it's just smutt. If nothing else it's harder to share with family and stuff XD What I will say for it, is that it's been really vital for me to start getting a solid grasp on interacting characters, and since it tends to sell well it's been good to start getting a more populated gallery together.
I want to spent more time on my own characters and developing their world, but that's not really on the cards atm as much as I'd like it to be, but we'll see how it goes.

Of course, it's pretty hard to share smutty stuff especially with family. "Oh what are you drawing ?" EMERGENCY MONITOR SHUT DOWN. Well, if you want to work a bit on your characters, you could, for example work on cameos of some sort like YCH or themed auctions where you'd feature a character of yours and another one from a customer (which would fit the theme for example), interacting or not, doing little concepts, doodles/sketchpages in a sketchbook dedicated to your personal work etc.
Maybe it's also a question of organization or the fact of doubting about where to begin with such projects.

That's basically what I'm doing, the next YCH I have planned will involve one of my main characters, and it's in character for him XD
Idk why but I find it hard to focus on my own characters, I really enjoy picking apart and working with other people's, so I enjoy fanart, but it's really rare I design a character and they stick with me, even rarer that I work with them.
No I don't think so, my longest project has taken 4 years, it's... effectively completed, though my friend is proofing it now. It's more time? When I'm out of work, I have to draw for money and by the time I'm done I don't want to keep drawing. When I'm in work, I just don't draw as much <shrug> I'm slowly drawing more and more original work, but honestly I just enjoy working with other people's more.

I love mines. I have a little alternate universe story of the American labor movement and history with anthro characters. Particularly centering around an anthro mule man who mines coal. I think this painting really fits that story concept and world. And the idea of literally falling into history and rediscovering it is something highly apealing to me.
