This seasons Christmas project has been to create a new army for Warmahordes.
Rather than my usual style, i went with a magical/ethereal look. Lots of blues, greens and even glitter!
I am very pleased with the final result, they really do shimmer.
I will be using them as a legion of everblight army if folks are interested in that sort of thing

Bases
- Crystals painted white first, then layered up with blues and greens. Dry brushed with ice blue. Thin blue wash followed by white dry brush. Finally a water effect gloss with glitter added into it
- Ground, chips of slate painted brown, lots of dry brushing, terrain effects such as static grass then weathering powder
Creatures
White undercoat, light blue/green main coat, pure water wash followed blue blue and green inks whilst still wet. This let the inks creep into the creases easily as well as a bit of mixing. Followed by dry brushing light blue and white.
I focused the white on the wings, faces and weapons to help with definition
All followed by a water effect gloss with more glitter.
I will admit that i was a bit dubious about it all, but on mass it looks amazing
