I ain't gettin' in that ghetto ass Pokeball, Honky!
I don't even know anymore.
So instead I'll use this space to bitch that there are roughly five million Pokemon: Abridged Series on YouTube and not a single one of them are actually good. COME ON GUYS! There's SO much material there! My kingdom for someone who actually knows how to properly record audio and ACT to do a Pokemon Abridged.
I figure I'm a pretty good joke writer, but recording not so much, or I'd do it myself.
Lupin and Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged spoiled my ass.

This is a funny sketch, and it also calls to mind the questions that usually come up whenever I catch a Pokemon TV show or movie (which are frequently on Cartoon Network): The trainers go on and on about how much they care about their Pokemon, yet the whole point of the "training" is force these poor critters into constant gladiatorial battles. The only thing worse then getting sent back into your pokeball is to be sent back into your pokeball after getting the crap beaten out of you by another Pokemon.
It's even more disturbing when you consider a Pokemon like Lucario, who is sentient being. At that point, doesn't Pokemon "training" become a form of slavery?

Considering children have a strange tendency to be sent all over the world at the age of ten with nothing but a level 1 trash mob to keep them company, and are expected to fund their expedition solely by beating up strangers for their money when not enslaving monsters that command elemental forces of nature as a bodily function... Not to mention how there's always some globe-spanning criminal organization around as well that picks a personal grudge with said kid...
Really, how the heck is anyone still alive in this universe? >.>
