My first entry to the 2017
furry_musicians Express Yourself song contest.
This song is an expression of myself because I wrote this song, played every instrument, and mixed it myself for the first time (before, my drums were EZDrummer loops).
Plus, It's a satire of the current times in my life or something.
I used pretty much all the instruments and pedals that I have, if you listen during the last half you can even hear an appalachian dulcimer on the left!
The one minute time limit was pretty fun to work with, I certainly would have carried on this song for like five minutes but it's nice to try to compress it down.
--Lyrics:--
She's a mystery
And I'm still just a fantasy
On some teenager's memory.
Now, I could tell myself
That someday I should stop myself,
but I still cling to that hope
That she's with me.
And though my methods aren't so clear
I'll have my very own deer...
I think that I'm in love with her,
but she doesn't know me.
It's like my brain just isn't there;
I'm not a sanctuary.
Instruments: Austin APB [Bass], Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro [Guitar], Alesis Nitro [Drums], Roosebeck Grace 5-String [Dulcimer]
Amp + Pedals: Fender Blues Jr. [Amp], JHS Angry Charlie V3 [Rhythm], Way Huge Swollen Pickle [Lead]
Microphone: Blue Spark

It's not "intelligent" per-se. Rather it was named due to Warp Records' album series "Artificial Intelligence", and the label stuck.
In fact, quite a few artists dislike the term "intelligent dance music". Judging by the IDM I've heard, a better name might be "mindscrew music".
