GWYBERGOCH (Gwi-BER-gahk)
The Gwybergoch is a species of Kuros noted for having reduced back limbs, which have been replaced by a long spur of Kuronium. This reduction of their back legs forces them to either slither along the ground like a snake or drag themselves forward with their front limbs. However, this lack of legs seems to aid them in the air and in the water, where they can maneuver easily and coil around their foes. Another notable feature is their wings, which are less like hands and more like a fish's fins.
They are not an overly bulky breed, though they are one of the longest.
ABILITIES
Gwybergoch are not skilled at ground combat, but they are powerful when it comes to their element. Like every Kuros they can posses all potential elements, but the most common are Fire, Poison, Sound, and Fear. Water based elements come next, including Ice, while Earth and Air based elements such as Wind and Lightning are almost unheard of. But this does not mean they cannot posses these elements, just that they are rarer.
In physical combat a Gwybergoch primarily attack with their spurs and their coils, slashing and constricting their victims. They will also lash out with their crests, which may seem delicate but is made from solid Kuronium, being a part of their skull. The only openings in it are the holes for the nostrils.
SOCIETY
Gwybergoch are rare, and many Kuros who have never seen them before think them more akin to Yoldahr than an actual Kuros Breed. But they have entire skeletons made from the Metal, and their scales are just as black as any other Kuros'. They are largely anti-social, preferring to keep to their own company, and only interact with others when their duties require it of them.
PERSONALITIES
It would be easy to assume that, since they do not like social interactions, that a Gwybergoch does not care for their fellow Kuros. Not so. They are fiercely loyal to the Kuros and the balance between Light and Dark, and when a dragon, any dragon, goes astray they are the first ones in to right the wrong, never retreating until they are either dead or victorious. Many battles have been won by the last stands of Gwybergoch.
WORKPLACE
Due to their loyalty and skills in the air many Gwybergoch become Silverwings, covering themselves in Kuronium and flying into battle with wings attached to their fin-like wings.
TRIVIA
+Favorite food is any sort of dairy product. Milk, cheese, ice cream, you name it.
+For some unknown reason Gwybergoch with red secondary colors seem to have an edge in fighting other dragons, if the combat is to the death. There has been no recorded accounts of a Red Gwybergoch falling in combat against another dragon.
+Because of their forked tongues they all speak with a lisp.
+Inspiration: The design was inspired by some of the classical drawing of wyverns, which have forelimbs instead of hindlimbs and more fin-like wings. The spur was inspired by the mating spur found on the males of some snake species. The name is a combination of Gwiber, a sort of dragon that supposedly originates from an asp drinking human milk, and the Y Draig Goch, the red welsh dragon who, in Arthurian legend, killed the white dragon representing the Saxons.
First things first, I am not very confident in my artistic abilities. I like to draw, but have never moved past the style of "sketching in profile." As such while I do draw every so often I rarely share my work. So this is a big deal to me. But lately there seems to have been an increase in Kuros Breeds, so I thought I would try my hand at one. I had already made one before, but that was just an info sheet with no drawing.
So yeah, here's my fan kuros breed. I'm actually rather proud of the lore I made for it, even if I don't love my own art style. If you want to make one of these go for it, just link me in the description so I can see it.
