Part one of my IPSTP Day celebration! Within the next 24 hours I'll have posted all four parts, so you won't have to wait long to finish the story.

This is a story about vampires. And about humans. It's about a world where vampires have destroyed human civilization. And it's about what happens when one human finds he has a choice, and a chance to make a difference.

It's LONG. The whole thing is a short novel, 80k words long. This first part is around 20k words, which is about 30 pages, single spaced, in word. But I hope it's worth the read. This is one of the best stories I've written.
