Well, he'd be more nicer on The Price is Right, knowing that Cliffhangers involves yodeling when a contestant makes a wrong guess.
There have been times on Doug where Mr. Bone wasn't so strict. Like when Mr. Bone joined Mrs. Wingo's class for their news program at the end of Doug's Big News, the time when Doug suggested to discontinue Saturday detentions, and when Doug & Mr. Bone came to an agreement to let the Beets play their concert at the school. Just to name a few.
