Makes me wonder if you've seen some of the bad cosplay sites out there on the internet. I think the most numerous are the fat people who try cosplaying anorexically skinny characters. As a chubby guy, I'm going to try cosplaying as someone more my body type, like the Engineer from Team Fortress 2!

I've seen one named Sailor Ogre at A-Kon a few years ago. He was staff or owner of one of the local anime shops and had a vote-jar system in the month prior to A-kon. Donate to charity in one jar for the Sailor Ogre cosplay to appear, or donate in the other jar for S.O. to NOT appear at A-kon.
The NO jar filled rapidly, but someone dropped $500 in the YES jar for shits n giggles in the last week.
Hopefully they do not get their own con. I dont think the world could survive a special anime con just for XXL x-dressing cosplayers... ;) ;P

See, that's what always gets me. I don't care if you enjoy cosplaying, but if you're wearing XXL shirts, and the person your dressed up is as skinny as a twig, or is often mistaken for the opposite sex because of their androgeny, you shouldn't do it if you are trying for a serious cosplay. As for the ones who dress up to be silly or just shock value as Sailor Ogre seems to do, it's a little creepy, but funny as hell too.
