Myself, I have opted for a wooden cane that's modeled after one of the styles that appeared for a few seasons on House, M.D. (the wooden derby cane). Doctor says I may not need it much longer if I stay with the PT plan set forth by the rehab team. By the time we get to that point I'm wondering if I'll be able to put it down, it's become so much a part of me.
