Name: K'ree Tana*karishi t'Ski\riish
Alias: Kerry Skydancer
POB: T'kreshti Station, Skyhome Confederation, (Planet) Chirikh, Timeline 27-291-Xi-Aleph-813-452-92
Age: 317
Species: Bat
Nationality: Skyhome Confederation.
Height: 4'6” / 137 cm, counting the ears
Weight: 82 lbs / 37 kg
Eye Color: black
Hair Color: black
Physical Appearance: His natural appearance is that of a bat, with hands of two fingers and a thumb at his mid-wing joints. His fur is dark gray; the exposed skin of his wings, nose, and ears is black as are his eyes and headfur. Like most bats, he has a muscular but thin and wiry physique. His wingspan at full extension is a touch over 8 ft / 245 cm. His ears are triangular and very large (accounting for nearly seven inches of his height) and his face is dominated by a blunt muzzle full of very sharp fangs.
Occupation: Agent of the Paratemporal Patrol. Rank equivalent of Colonel.
Areas of Operation: Roving troubleshooter and explorer. Anywhere in the multiverse. Currently working in the timelines 'near' the Colmaton Universe (Patrol designation 181-314-Tau-Samekh-54-101-226).
Weapons/Items: Almost anything, depending on the mission, from flint-tipped spears to magic amulets to high-tech weapons. Standard items in all cases include a holographic image projector which allows him to fit into realities where there are no sapient bats (far too many of them in his opinion) and provides disguises, a portable medical kit (high-tech diagnostic nanotech plus healing potions), a translating computer, an amulet that basically allows him Rule Of Funny spells (courtesy of a trickster goddess who took a liking to him on one mission) and a communicator (of whatever sort is needed to function in a given reality).
Personal Transport: Capable of personal flight, or whatever can be easily procured locally.
Powers: Dimensional Adept. He can move between realities and has complete control of his destination. (Note that this does not allow teleportation. He has to move in local space to shift his position, and he will always arrive in the same spot in reality B from the same departure point in Reality A.) Aside from that, he has the typical bat abilities of flight and sonar, but at skilled normal levels.
Preferred Fighting Styles: Chirosha, a martial art of his home timeline emphasizing movement in three dimensions, or a stun pistol. He has learned how to use many different weapons in his lifetime, but prefers not to use lethal force unless absolutely necessary.
Strengths: He has access to almost any imaginable equipment as part of the Paratemporal Patrol, and can call for backup with almost any desired abilities. In over three centuries of life he has picked up a vast number of skills, ranging from flint-knapping and tracking to AI psychology and interstellar navigation. He is very hard to keep prisoner, as he has learned to move between dimensions (he refers to it as 'side-slipping') with or without anything in contact with his body. (He has to touch something to bring it along, but can leave anything behind if he chooses even if he is in forced contact.)
Weaknesses: His only power is his ability to move between dimensions. He has no abilities or senses beyond those normal to his species and/or the equipment he is carrying.
Outfits: He does not have a super-hero costume. Although he can set his appearance to anything, in his native form and preferred garb he wears a poncho-style tunic (cut-out sides for his wing membranes) and shorts. His feet are normally bare.
Bio: He discovered his abilities as a young teen and at first abused them to become a very successful jewel thief. In spite of his ability to vanish from anywhere, he discovered that the police were quite capable of making his life a living hell and had to abandon his home dimension at the ripe old age of twenty-three. Learning from this experience, he stayed on the right side of the law in the reality where he set up his new home, and started what amounted to an export-import business across the dimensional barriers – he imported plans and ideas from one reality to another, and was often able to stay at cut-throat prices by bringing in expensive vital components from places where they were cheaper to make. He was limited at the time to places that had native bat species, and discovered that they were rare.
When he was in his mid-sixties (his species is naturally long-lived, so this was his early middle age) he came to the attention of the Paratemporal Patrol when one of their scouting missions noticed that a cluster of realities had advanced well beyond their neighbors. They were able to track down the common thread, and he was approached to join them. He has been a highly successful field agent for them over the years since, and access to longevity technology has kept him at an apparent forty years of age (young adulthood for one of his kind). In between missions, he maintains his persona as a rich inventor/entrepreneur in his adopted home dimension.
The Patrol exists to safeguard the different timelines of the multiverse from contamination by the truly awful ones (bio-warfare, black magic, undead, Cthulhu) and to keep civilizations or individuals who have the capability of traveling between dimensions from trafficking in contraband such as slaves or drugs, or of conducting wars of conquest across the boundaries. They have working relationships with high-tech and high-magic realms in several realities, and with actual pantheons in others.
Personality: He is very serious about his profession – he's seen some of the horrors that the Patrol exists to stop – but he is still at heart the crazy fun-loving kid who once stole a valuable historical artifact out of a supposedly impregnable vault and then put it back a week later (with a note reading 'changed my mind, it clashes with my curtains') just to watch the media frenzy. Most of the time he works as an explorer of new timelines because he does not need a vehicle to get in or out, and frequently pulls some stunt or other to embarrass a criminal, corrupt, or otherwise inept government on his way through. Although he is a high-ranked officer in the Patrol hierarchy, he has little use for formality or spit-and-polish. He's liable to prank subordinates and equals at the drop of a hat, and some of the Patrol are convinced he's only been promoted to his rank to limit the number of people he can actually be insubordinate to. In fairness, he does not object to return pranks -from- his subordinates.
In other words, he'd get along just fine with Slipstream.

First thing I thought of. those commanded words, Get Lost! loved the dialog between the two of them. and your Bat brought them to mind. (side note, think you sent last impulse's godlings portion to Mevrea yesterday. it was the same one what was read 2 weeks ago, with some slight mods. )
she skipped last week, and just had the supers story and Winterbough. I have read that one ahead and am current with the series. it means I have to shut up because I know what's coming next.
I am curious as to what's next for Ferric. at 13, life is going from Barbie to chasing fellows. I think nearly everyone will be too weak for her, even if she is "understanding". at more than 700 pounds, life for a guy with her will be interesting....
