"I'M THE PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! NOW TASTE *THIS* RIGHT WING!"
Presenting her excellency President Elizabeth Hawke, the pride and joy of Washington D.C, she's the reigning and defending American Anthro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion with her own rather...crazed spin on the tried and true US Patriot gimmick.
Back in the day, a much younger Liz was a mere struggling midcarder, little more than a jobber to the stars, cutting sappy promos about Old Glory and usually feuding with some ascending heel keen to beat on her. However, after a particularly brutal beating from the monstrous Krusher Khan left her injured, Liz began to show up in vignettes announcing her candidacy for the US Presidency. At first the angle was seen as a cheap attempt at relevance from the AAW in the middle of an election year, but as Hawke kept talking, her promos became increasingly ludicrous (from promising to personally bodyslam dictators to declaring she'd try and actually TALK to the ubiquitous evil foreigners for a change before fighting them) until her appearances became a highlight of any AAW show. Of course, once election day came around, the pro wrestler with niche appeal barely got a percent of the popular vote but things would only get more silly from there as the very next AAW show saw a solemn faced Hawke take the stage in a suit and glasses to thank the fans for all their support. Many were disappointed, believing that the fun was over and things were going back to a sugary sweet patriot babyface, until...
"And thanks to all your support...I am announcing that I ACCEPT the Presidency of the United States of America!"
As everyone watching looked on in amazement, Hail to the Chief began blaring and the newly minted President posed under a brand new entrance video naming her the new president. What followed was a storied career that goes on to this day, with Hawke showing off a new fire in the ring and on the mic all the while living it up as the President who literally fights for her people.
Nearing her 40th birthday, some are saying Hawke may retire before long, either moving on to a career backstage, on commentary, or maybe...just maybe...President of the AAW itself!
