Hiddson: Hello and welcome to the final regular season edition of Bandits Breakdown! Your one stop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. Brett Hiddson along with Terrence Thursday wishing you all a Happy New Year. Terry it's all come down to this as the playoff brackets are almost set to go. Bandits taking on the Chicago Outlaws on the final regular season game hoping to end it even better than way back in week one.
Thursday: Right, Brett. The Bandits walked away with a 17-14 win scoring all 17 in the 2nd half while the Outlaws touchdowns where in the first and 4th quarter. Bandits looking to sweep the series against Chicago to secure a potential 2 seed. While the Outlaws could leap frog over them with a win of their own and force the Bandits down to the 4 seed and go to Tallahassee.

Hiddson: Stakes are high none the less and should make for an entertaining game down in the swirling winds of the Magnificent Mile Stadium. Bandits trailing 3-0 in the first and looking to tie it up with a field goal and Cooper's attempt... No good. The winds strong today as it forces the ball way wide right. Second quarter action. Big third down for the Outlaws and stopped by Arnie Inman who's playing fantastic in Justin Brown's stead. Outlaws would have to take the field goal. Ensuing drive for the Bandits. Two First down completions for R.V.A. sets up this...
KLVB Radio: 2nd and 9 after a short gain by Paige... Ball is snapped they go right back to Paige breaks off a tackle stiff arms another and he's got room to run... 45, 40, 35, 30,...the 20.. the ten... Touchdown Bandits! Terry Paige with a 59 yard touchdown run and the Bandits looking to take the lead with the extra point.
Hiddson: Thanks again from our friends at KLVB Radio, Terry 'Turning the' Paige does it again with a huge 59 yard run to tie the game and coopers made pat to give the desert desperadoes the lead. Nice way to end the first half. Third Quarter action and another field goal for the Outlaws to retake the lead. Bandits struggling to get the offense going mostly this quarter and that would give the Home team Outlaws confidence as this pass from Smith to Olen Rueyters is good for 38 yards and a touchdown.
Thursday: Bad gamble by Marcus Hopper here, just mistimed the jump for the ball and fell over from being off balance. All Olen had to do from there was catch it and take it the rest of the way.
Hiddson: Hopper would make up for it with a pick in the ensuing possession. But the Bandits didn't exactly take advantage of it...
KLVB Radio: 2nd and 17 now after the sack by Thiesen... Stapler calling his snap count... the snap he loses it... there's a pile on the fumble and it looks like Stapler got it back but it's gonna be a safety for the Outlaws. 2 points and the ball to Chicago...
Hiddson: Rough possession for the Bandits there and from that point it would get out of reach... Final score 14-28 Outlaws win it. That means the Outlaws get the defending champs in the first round while the Bandits fall to 4th and take on North Florida at Tallahassee. Here's Some reaction from Stapler and Erinia post game...
Erinia: Tough game but a game we needed to have happen. Cause from there onward, the opposition is going to be fierce throughout the next few weeks. Each week tougher then the last. We have to adapt and step up to the challenge and with the adversity we have had and how we handled it so far, I'm more confident in this squad than last years team...
Stapler: Yeah that was a tough one, just gotta shake it off and go back to the drawing board to prep for North Florida now... at least it'll be pretty warm there, I think. Other than that I like how this team has fought all season had our ups and downs and we never let the adversity get to us and take us out of contention. We can very well make noise and make our ultimate goal if we play hard leave it all out on the field...
Hiddson: Encouraging words from the head coach and starting quarterback respectively. And with the season they had, they've every right to be confident, Terry.
Thursday: Yeah Brett, No one could get anywhere in this league if you aren't confident from the get go and this team has been through a lot and is still going through that adversity. But they'll never tell you excuses. The kind of poise you expect from your coach and QB.
Hiddson: Absolutely right, Terry. And with that we will say thank you for joining us for another season of Bandits Breakdown. We'll see you in next week live in Tallahassee for our coverage as long as the Bandits are in the playoffs.
