Happy New Year, friendos!
Let's get this year rolling with some uplaods of arty goodness, huh? This is a commission for
kriscarmi of her character Karmine and her bf's character, Francis (From left to right, respectively). They not only wanted their characters ready to take all comers, but also with my techno-organic or bio-mechanical look that so many of you are oh so fond of.
The concept here is the pair, fresh from their transformation and look to be free of their would-be captors. Basically. Love and teamwork shall see them free of their bonds and onward and upward to bigger, better things!
Had a blast doing this piece, as I DO love transforming all you lovely furs into something a little more metal. With Karmine, I went more Cyborg, and with Francis, I went full Biomech. I really wanted to keep some rage in his face, and that seemed the best route. Also, with Karmine, I wanted to keep some tufts of fur she had about her frame, and that seemed to work best with a more sleek, Cyrborg flavor. Again, this was fun. Enjoy!
PS, Thank you EVERYONE for your patience in my personal woes keeping me away from the drawing table. With this, I'll be posting more often, and getting back into a more steady workflow. So, stay tuned!

You know, it's Karmine I'm most intruiged by. Where somehow for example the forearm between the fully mechanized hand and bicep still retains some flesh and original organic properties the Cyborg had before the operation. Usually it's only done with the effect of a robot stripping away his skin to show their true self beneath.
Her surgeon must have been very meticulous in the operation.

For conversation value, I really liked that the fur on her head and limbs could serve multiple purposes. On one hand, like you said, whoever took her apart, reassembled her, etc, could have taken that care in meshing her former fur into her new metallic body. On the other hand, I also considered that her fur could be synthetic still, and maybe like an extra-sensory tool, with the fibers detecting and feeding Karmine with information above and beyond normal sight, sound and smell.
Ultimately -- if nothing else -- the thick, long fur hides the arsenal that remains tucked inside her limbs, ready to pop out and unleash various forms or lethal wrath.
