Something felt different today
From the mid day forward something was just not as it usually was.
That feeling growing and increasing from day to evening and into the night.
Then it happened, small colored flashes in the sky, but not lightning, and no thunder.
The flashes became short rolling flickers, then almost like waves in the water,
shifting bands of color began to to appear and linger all across the sky.
Yellow greens and blues at first, then full on yellow, red, even violet light began to dance
across the the open sky.
It was like watching strangely colored fires moving on and thru water.
Eerie, yet beautiful, it was amazing to watch.
Many of the plains and jungle creatures were spooked by this,
but in the end, no danger came.
The strange lights lasted all thru the night and disappeared with the dawn.
A memory I will never forget.
