me, the instant I finalise this drawing: I have been working on this since last year...... (actually finished day 2, posting just now)


ok but heres another ulgogo! I was going to draw a lot of them dancing to show their flexibility and weird jointing. there are some things i am still unsure about them, i feel like i could make them more alien but at the same time i want them to not diverge much from humanoids...

some facts on ulgogos:
- they have quite the cleaning culture. for a species who is entirely wooly with curly hair, you can imagine how lack of grooming can become a disaster
- they are evolved to be good acrobats! they can climb and jump from hills without much of an issue. most ulgogo societies value physical activity, so they are often thicc
- Their forelimbs are thinner than the upper part of the limb, who is not only muscular but also a fat deposit. If overweight, their forelimbs will kinda look like sticks...
- they can rotate their head - and most of their limbs - in a similar way owls do. it is kinda eh to say they are contortionists bc this is not contortionism to them, it is just how their body works.
- most of their clothing is simply decorative or protection for work since their body is already covered in wooly fur. this might cause confusion on how cold the world of ulho actually is, since they be walking around in bikinis on -5C
- since they have a lot of stamina and grow up quickly in comparision to other humanoid species, they fell victim of space trading for years as a valuable workforce. thanks to protective alliances they got their emancipation but to nowdays there are still ulgogos scattered accross the universe with absolutely no idea who they are or where they came from. whilist homeworld ulgogos and space ulgogos are identical, space ulgogos will carry the culture and habits of whichever culture they grew up in.
- homeworld ulgogos are herbivore pals who rarely put animals or their byproducts in their foods. animal-related food is often part of rituals or festivals.
- they might not be good runners or fighters since those were not necessities on their homeworld life, but they have an incredible perception of time, weather and other agricultural related things.
- often their fabrics are made with their own hair, making hair commerce something interesting between differently coloured tribes.
- they believe that the tighter the curl is, the healtheir the person is. this is related to the fact that their curls get loose upon death.
