Recently I read much of the content on transsexual.org (totally recommended) and I was feeling inspired. So here's a pic of a mother catching her MTF son wearing a dress of hers.
I've actually meant to do some kind of transgender or crossdressing themed pic for a while, but I didn't really have any idea other than "cute fox guy in a dress." After reading some actual life stories of transsexuals I decided to dial up the serious a few notches and eventually came up with this. There's obviously a lot that could happen after this point, so I may continue this story in later pictures.
EDIT: It's now part of a series!

I think the tears actually give it away pretty well - it's not something that's obvious at first glance, of course, but once you start to think about it, why would she be crying if it were only about crossdressing?
(Of course, I'm assuming that in this picture, she hasn't actually noticed her mother standing there yet - that her mom's just opened the door and is standing there speechless now .)
Lovely piece, BTW; very sad and touching, but that's just one more reason why I appreciate it. And you definitely get a watch, too, since I'm definitely curious how this will continue to play out. *s*

Technically the term transsexual only applies to transgender people who actually get surgery to re-afirm their gender identity. The real term for the girl in your series would be male-to-female transgender, not transsexual or cross dresser or transvestite. In fact why are you calling her he? Not to foist too much criticism upon you but why? Isn't the whole point that the fox in the pic is a girl and not really a boy despite what she has under her dress?
This is a really cute picture. :) I can see my mate having this situation pop up soon. According to him, it's just transvestic fetishism, but seeing the changes he has made in attitude, personality and desires, as well as the future changes he wants, I think he's a bit beyond just a fetish. <3 I love my pretty Wolfy, and am definitely sending this pic to him <3
Great job =^/-\^=

I really like the emotion in the picture, from mom's "Ummmmm huh?" expression, to the son's stressed out look. It seems like the son is less embarrassed about being caught and more... not wanting to deal with explaining this facet of her life.
It will be interesting if put into a series!

Jeebus. This needs to be printed and available to trans-folk at large. Maybe make it into a printable PDF thing, formatted to 8.5x11 and to A4 size so it can be printed by the person that needs it and shared with their families.
This could be a HUGE way to start the process of coming out.
Seriously.

Sooo..... I've read your comic like 2 1/2 times and I'm still not sure I understand the first two pages.....
Did Terry just walk in to find Paul like this or did he like come home crying? And, on page two... 'So... You're a girl...' Where you implying that Paul explained him self and is currently post-op?
I'm pretty dence, forgive me.....

Terry just walked into Paul's room and found her dressed like this. The "so... you're a girl" is after Paul explains that she's transsexual and identifies as female. She's not post-op, that wouldn't be possible at her age, nor would it really be possible to keep it a secret (getting the operation requires first getting on hormones and doing the "real life test," which involves living as one's desired gender 24/7 for about a year).
I have to say a very big THANK YOU for posting the ten works of yours on this subject!
I wish my mom and dad had taken it so well, I ended up being disowned by my whole family twenty two years ago. Growing up you are told how much "family" matters and how you are to be there for other members of the family when they need help... I found out first hand how little I mattered to others when I couldn't be who they thought you should be.
For those that walk the same path I do, please remember you are not alone. Being true to yourself is hard, living a lie is even harder! Keep in mind two things "In time this to shall pass." when you are dealing with hard times, "If you are not happy in this season, for what season do you wait?"

I've seen the whole series, and all I can say is that your work is overwhelming. Everything in it was impressive, both the drawings and the writing. All the pages are now instant faves. However, I would certainly love to see the continuation of Emily's story. Will there be a season 2?
