Rouge seems just a little different now!
I wanted her to appear more like an actual bat with the facial structure as well as ears. This means actually having normal-colored fur, though her hair remains white in accordance to her character design. She can always dye her fur anyway like the other characters anyway.
Rouge works for Naval Intelligence, who recruited her in 3234 after observing her rather interesting history of bank heists and gang-related activity. ONI approached her and asked her to join, to which she said yes, but not before negotiating. Rouge uses ONI for their resources of potentially priceless artifacts and treasures on forgotten colony worlds. In return, she travels to the far reaches of Human space to do whatever they assign her to do.
Rouge wears the standard ONI catsuit for her work, but specifically had a chest-plate custom ordered for her. Not in the least bit regulation, her superiors don't feel the need to ask her to remove it as she gets results. Rouge enjoys an exceptional amount of independence which includes her own personal Slipspace-capable starship known as the Black Bat.
She carries her trusty 10x25mm Norton pistol with custom heart-shaped iron sights known as 'Heartfelt'. Coupled with a suppressor, it follows heron many of her missions.
This is likely the appearance that I'm going to officially recognize her as having.
As for her wings, as of right now, I'm saying that they're on her arms like an actual bat, just covered by her clothing, but I'm now considering a bit of an alternate explanation that I'm still considering. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.
This version of Rouge is based on an Old World Megabat, which is notable for its lack of a tail - something seen more in New World bats.

That's the correct color (even if it is just her face and not the rest of the body), but not the right nose unfortunately.
I'll say that her mother was a fruit bat to give her the actual looks of a flying fox. Otherwise, my research places her as a mish-mash of actual bat species with the color of a Honduras bat, the ears of a vampire bat, and the snout of a megabat.
In conclusion, despite her high-class acting, she's a mutt I believe.

Yes. Her wings are more like a regular bat's. They're on her arms and not her back. When they're not used, they're usually kept in place by a band or something like that. I'm not sure if they can allow her to fly, but they may be able to allow her to glide or act as a parachute to slow a fall. She just needs to roll up her sleeves, or perhaps even wear a sleeveless shirt when not in uniform.
I do have ONE question, though: Where are her wings?
She's a BAT, afterall. and, Bats have wings (that's their thing.)
If they are still in her back, then..does she have then concealed in some kind of pack?
or, are they like actual Bat wings, and connected from her sides and arms.
(in which case, i am at a loss at HOW they are concealed, here.)
Or, did you just forget to add them in?
