All of my arachnid childrens!!
I personally don't handle any of my arachnids except for Furiosa, because she's chill af. Mostly because a few species are rather venomous and almost all of them are quite fast. A tarantula can be seriously injured from just a fall of 8 inches.
I prefer to watch them quietly. They are "look only" pets to me.
All of the tarantulas you see here with the exception of Jacinto and Kryll are advanced level species Mostly because they grow large, fast, and have powerful venom which could land you in the hospital. Please, before getting a tarantula, do some serious research first and choose a new-world species as your first as they are usually more docile and their venom is not as potent. Please do the arachnid community a favor and don't get a fast and potent species as your first, warm up to them. Make sure you actually like owning a tarantula first.
You can note me if you want any information on choosing your first tarantula.

Bernie[b]- Flat Rock Scorpion (Hadogenes troglodytes) - Lives in a 10g aquarium with sand mixed with coco fiber for substrate. Has a ton of rocks to hide under. Bought her while she was pregnant, I thought she was just fat. I honestly don't bother her much and one day I saw her appear and she had a single baby on her back. Picked up a rock and HELLO 30 BABIES.
[b]Bernies babies : Not even bigger than a dime right now, so tiny. Each are housed in their own individual 8oz deli cup and eat pinhead crickets once a week.
Jacinto Green Bottle Blue Tarantula (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens) - Skittish and likes to flick hairs like crazy.
Ephyra Venezuelan Suntiger (Psalmopoeus irminia) - I saw her and couldn't resist such a large and angry spider. She was perfect. These species are arboreal and have the nickname "Black Lightning" because of how fast they are. They seem to "teleport" across the cage.
Hoffman Indian Ornamental Tarantula (Poecilotheria regalis) : My first pokie and definitely not my last. I love the Poecilotheria genus, some of the most gorgeous tarantulas. He's FAST, but I rarely see him outside the burrow.
Baird Orange Baboon Tarantula [or Orange Bitey Thing] (Pterinochilus murinus) : Rightfully called orange bitey things, this species is territorial and won't hesitate to give a big threat display. They bite a lot, hence the name.
Furiosa Emperor Scorpion (Pandinus imperator) : Couldn't resist her since Emperors are now banned on imports. Literally the most chill scorpion I have ever met. I can handle her without any problems and she's the only one I take out of the cage on a semi-regular basis.
Kryll Chilean Rose Hair (Grammostola rosea) : My second tarantula. She is fat and I love her.
These are my pets. Please be kind in your comments about them. Thank you.
