I've been in a big slump lately - mood and art-wise - so I tried thinking of things that would really get me excited to paint. I am (of course) playing Pokemon Moon and recently I decided to try my hand at SOS chaining for a shiny Fletchling so I could have a shiny Talonflame and IT WORKED. After knocking about 80 poor Fletchlings I found a shiny and now I have my precious shiny Talonflame.

I've always loved Talonflame's design, and not just because it's a fire falcon either. I also love the shiny coloration - it's a subtle difference but super lovely, so I painted both. I've been meaning to try painting realistic versions of the bird pokemon so I started with Talonflame. Maybe I'll do more as inspiration hits. Maybe next I'll do the Fletchling and Fletchinder because they're also fun designs.
