Iona likes to world hop a lot, and this time she ended up in the world overrun by Yoma, and protected by Claymores, females of exceptional will who infuse their own bodies with Yoma blood to be competant fighters against the pure breeds. However, many humans don't view Claymores as more than monsters in a human guise.
