While off on my "Journey of Discovery," I had a number of thoughts that flooded my mind. All of which I have shared over the course of this week via my first-ever, personally drawn, depictions of my character along with yesterday's, Happy-Go-Lucky Yoshi.
However, there was one other thought that came to mind that has inspired me for my forthcoming, and seemingly ongoing, "Project #4."
To the point, Scooter made a comment on one of the Eternal Dingus. In it, he made mention of how he believed he had no real powers. I, of course, begged to differ.
So, since Scooter is typically portrayed as an animated squirrel, I have been inspired to create a very interesting, and colorful, region in the "Further Realms" in which a character of his unique appearance, and others like it, can thrive!
Using Scooter here as a template, I wonder what you all think of such a concept?
Name: Scooter Squirrel
Species: Inque Squirrel
Scooter resides in a region of the "Further Realms" known as Mangamé. Where other beings in the realms utilize the mana around them to cast spells, Scooter utilizes the mystical energy that is exclusive only to Mangamé to fabricate items out of "thin air" to defend the realm and its inhabitants from those who would attempt to use its nuances for their own, evil whims.
Like all those who are born, or touched, by the power of Mangamé, Scooter is far from being anything like his couterparts on the outside. This entitles him to create items by simply thinking of them, along with enhancing him with other "bizarre" abilities.
However, if he, or any other inhabitant of Mangamé would travel beyond the boundries of their special land, their bright colors would make them stand out like sore thumbs. Furthermore, without the magic of Mangamé, he would gradually weaken until he faded out of existance. Using his unique powers would only serve to expedite this process.
What do you think? It's kind of like Toontown from Roger Rabbit meeting Dungeons and Dragons. :)

OMG! I love him, Yosh-E-O! *big hugs* That means a lot to me, it really does. I feel a little more special and powerful as I type this. I like the name you gave to the region, it has a very nice ring to it. :) *wonders what his bizarre abilities are*

I'm glad you like it. "Special Project #4" has been kicking my butt up to the point you sparked my muse with your remark. For some reason, I just couldn't come up with a creative "core" to the story. Now, thanks to you, I have it and I hope everyone enjoys the "campaign" as I write it. :)

Thanks! Actually, I was wondering if anybody would point out what my wife did in how it came out like a squirrel-a-saurus. <LoL!>
On a fun note, the description here is a foreshadow to what I "want" to write for my next "Special Project." It's going to play out as a "Campaign" within the Further Realms and feature many, fun surprises. I do hope it comes out well.
Over the week, look for writing to return as I develop tales / descriptions to discuss the regions in which characters like Scooter will be interacting with. :)

That's right! As long as Scooter is in Mangamé he has a near boundless ability to perform "toon" powers. That is the gift of the Inque.
The story, that I'm going to write more as an encyclopedia, tells the tale of Scooter, and a few others, who are journeying to ensure the magic of Mangamé never fades away. :)
