you've got quite a lot of questions x3 This is not a typical purely mechanical bot, what they're using here is an array of artificial muscle fibers whose texture is not unlike rubber, patterned after human/animal anatomy. The type of jams you'd encounter are the same ones your body would have, essentially. There's no actual gears/servos/pistons/etc like in a typical bot.
