When I multiply limbs I find that the more alike to a full body of an animal they are, the more "passive sentience" they get. Like the snakecocks, or snake hair. This is no different, but it sometimes means though that being a leg, it can be a little more problematic.
Either the left body wants to sleep or doesn't want to move, maybe it had a falling out somehow. It probably just could be resolved by shapeshifting it away and taking another form though.
