Starting 2017 with a couple of personal pieces - this one of Talvi, my ice faerie princess (no, not like Elsa, I made Talvi way before Frozen came out lol), awaiting someone who can break the ice and find their way into her heart. There just might be a someone for that task, perhaps he's on her mind now...

As ever with a new year comes new energy and a desire to step up my game with my art - so these pieces were a good way to flex my wings a bit and remind myself what I'm capable of, and what I can aspire to do for you guys in my commissioned pieces as well. For this one, I wanted to take the time and do a really nice background, creating an atmosphere (albeit a cold one) and adding a little bit of post-scan editing to really bring out the effects I wanted in the piece. I'm extremely pleased with the result and I hope you guys like it too. :)

Appropriately, the day I finish this is the first day of *real* snow we've had here in Oklahoma. Winter isn't coming, it's HERE. >u<
