This is a little fox portrait with fantastic ornament on a 1 inch thick wood panel. I added transparent watercolour ground as a base , and then transferred my sketch on top with a polychromos fabercastell colouring pencil. I have seen some neat watercolour paintings done on wood, and I am trying to make a decent one. This is my third try, and second try with this specific drawing. I made a silly error and had to restart.

I initially intended on making the plants all goldleaf for contrast, but I might not go in that direction anymore. I need to do more tests first!
