This works in favor of a villain and sets them up for longer fights. When the good guys win effortlessly, it's boring.

at this point it seems like he was just a golem/summon or construct of some way. aka its not HIM that is getting "blown off". but an Avatar.. hence why he can keep doing ASS PULL maneouvers.

first thing first my comment was a bit tongue and cheek. sorry if it sounded like I was complaining. I love your comic. I love your art and I love your story. <hugs> jokes aside I do have a feeling that the guy is not ass pulling his moves. more like he is unbalanced. I feel that way because I do not know at with what cost his abilities come. but these are my personal feelings so feel free to ignore them :P If you like to hear more I'll be happy to talk it over in the mean time keep up awesome work and don't get the trolls get you ^_^

he's worse than bleach's final boss in terms of magical survivability. The plot twists get kinda boring because you already did the "oh no, he's still not dead" 10 times in a row.

While I doubt that Xiv and Mia are being killed off for real (it'd be pretty lame if they went out like this), I think it's time to dispose of the Plague Doctor guy. They've been fighting him for a year and we don't even know why. I'd just like to see him die already (or at least retreat)so that the plot can move forward.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I was suprised at how wound up people got over this. I mean I get that people don't like seeing characters they like get hurt, but I've never seen similar vitriol directed at  marian0's "live to tell" or even  nexus's many MANY violent and sometimes super controversial comics. I mean this is a pretty common trope in stuff like this; eventually the ragtag team runs into an opponent even more overpowered than themselves, and when they get caught off guard without a plan for that, people start to die; I mean it's sad, but it makes for good conflict and memorable plot-lines and is almost a staple of shonen-type anime/manga if they are any good at all.

Maybe some don't read many manga XD
