A new ref I did for my babe angel aura on christmas~
Name/Gem: Angel Aura Quartz
Nicknames: Angel, Aura
Age: couple thousand years old, been around since the war
Height 7 1/2 feet
Pronouns: She/Her
Gem Location: Throat
Dance Type a modern mix of old medieval dance and classical with a bit of pop
Weapon: Claymore
Abilities: Can produce a shielding aura for an amount of time, can protect herself and other's who stay close to her
Personality: Compassionate, quiet, stern/serious at times, but kind and could do to let loose a little more. She saw the beauty in the untouched parts of earth and in her fellow gems, including rose quartz's pursuit of freedom and protecting earth. She was with homeworld at first, naive of her true purpose until she got onto on the field. Desperate to keep her form, she put up quite a fight, peaking the interest of higher gems and ultimately putting her in a higher rank. She tried to stay positive and loyal to her home, and did her best to lead, but on the field again, and again, and seeing her side, shatter gems, while the other refrained, only pushed her further into questioning who she should really stand for. She feels she didn't deserve to be a leader, that she was just scared, and sometimes feels like she's not as strong or even as brave as others might see her to be.
Her era of Angel Aura's were made to be the 'poster gem' of the war basically. They look good and they look good fighting. They were meant to bring about morale in the Homeworld gems as they fought for their diamonds against the rebels. So gems would be less likely to question their loyalty and what they were fighting for when they would be fighting under these big, beautiful gems. Though the reality is they aren't quite as strong as they look, despite their size, their natural strength and the amount of beatings they can take is lower than your average quartz. A lot of effort went more into their beauty than their fighting skills. And in battle, they're really meant for being a front line of self sacrifice, to keep other gems protected and to get further into battle.
