Rimentus Reference Sheet 2017
I've put this off for quite awhile. But now that I'm slowly gaining confidence in my own art, I've finally decided to make myself my very first ref sheet of Rimentus!
I'm well aware of the whole wyvern/dragon thing. I'm basing the lore off my old stories, so I figured I kept it consistent with that. I don't believe in defining wyverns/dragons strictly based on someone else's invented lore (like D&D), and I feel that every author has the creative freedom to define dragons as they want for their own universe. Dragons are a product of creativity, so it should stay as creative as possible, unbound by arbitrary limits set by others. Rimentus still does not mind being called a dragon, since wyverns are still a type of dragon too.
On another note, I'm in love with the bottom left pose. It's like Rimentus is trying to reach up and he's thinking, "noooo, I want my mouse back D:"

I'm aware! I remember seeing a couple of your critter ref sheets. They're cool.
I mean, it kinda baffles me that wyvern vs dragon is even a thing, with people basing their reasoning on 'facts'. I mean...facts...really? Is a fictional book as valid as scientific evidence now?

I love the incorporation of the reference's border in the 3rd image down to the bottom left. Using it as both a 'wall' and a cliff lip to hang the cake mouse from. And with that being said, you clearly have put some good time and effort into your border frame and texturing the backpaper - it turned out wonderfully and its a great reference composition.
Although I cannot seem to tell if Rimentus like's cake or not... hmmmmmm... ( ο½°ΜΞ΅ο½°Μ )

In case you didn't know, 'raja', 'kerja' and 'buru' are words found in malay (it's a compulsory language in my country).
'Raja' generally means 'king'.
'Kerja' generally means 'work'. In this case, it's probably a 'worker' wyvern.
'Buru' generally means 'hunt'. In this case, it's probably a 'hunter' wyvern.
