All thanks giving day we had this gorgeous bright red cardinal foraging in our yard which you can see perfectly from the kitchen window. Since I was in the kitchen all day cooking I got to watch them hop around for hours. I even went out and tossed around some old bird seed we had in the garage so at least they got something yummy in their bellies too.

Since then I've been seeing that cute little pipper every day! I just knew I had to try making a pillowing based off of them~ I gave this fella a splash of fantasy purple to darken the body where the real cardinal had browns/grays.

I've named this pillowing Porter! Since it looked like the cardinal took a mouthful of seeds and was off bringing them somewhere else. c:
