One again, I'd like to thank
urbanhermit for sending me scanned files of these pages, as the original artwork had been lost and/or destroyed.
The sad creature in panel 2 is the Squonk, as designed by
rgibson. His presence indicates that while Shadow's story may have had a happy ending, there is still sorrow and other troubled critters in the world. (Though I'll admit that at the time I just wanted to feature a cameo of one of her characters without thinking too deeply about what it was supposed to represent.)
There is one more Falconbrook tale remaining to be told, and it's even longer than this one was. But it will be a while before I start running it, as there are a number of RL things that must be dealt with first.
Many thanks to ALL who followed Shadow's recent adventure!

I'm hoping for my favorite Tale next. > : )
Most of us old Zap-ziners have copies buried somewhere. I have most all of the Falconbrook stories re-mastered and archived, including some of the non-canon Dallas Brawl stuff. I'm such a packrat.
Wait...pack-ferret. There we go. Beware herb bricks. > : )

It might be fun to someday reprint that little oddball tale here. But we'd have to get
keeshah involved and post links to each other's pages, updating each prior page with links to the newer ones as they get posted to keep the continuity going. Between the three of us, things might get a bit complicated -- trying to keep each page of the story in its proper sequence, for example.
However, since the story includes a certain character who will be formally introduced in the next Falconbrook Tale, we don't really need to worry about it until after that story has run its course...

That's the Squonk.
rgibson and I were attending college at the time this story was drawn, and I just wanted one of her characters to make a brief guest appearance in the story. Perhaps someday you'll get to see the comic she did of the poor Squonk.
