After unmeasurable amounts of time spent wondering the abyss in a dark forest, Nimbus was eventually lead back into the Aether, where she discovered a tribe of humans. They where having great difficulty hunting for food, and where constantly attacked by wild predators. Nimbus stayed around the village, absolutely fascinated by them, how intelligent they where. It constantly broke her spirits that these creatures could not touch it, or even see it. Over time, she learned she could bridge the gap between their two realms, and interfere, even for a few seconds, with the humans. She brought them rain, which helped their crops grow. She challenged predators, that no longer bothered the village. Every one in awhile, when she bridged the gap, if they where lucky, a human would catch a very small glimpse of the dragon. The people viewed her as their guardian, protecting them, allowing their village to flourish and survive. As a kindness, the village people would craft gifts to show their appreciation to the dragon for helping them. (And often, food as well to Nimbus's delight). Some would carve stone statues in the image of the dragon, believing it would guard their homes from intruders.
