Man!! This took forever! If Skyrim's version of the shrouded armor was tough to draw, this Mercenary armor from ESO is in a whole different league!! I love ESO for the character and armor designs, but man! It hurts me as an artists whenever I try to draw some of them D:
This drawing is as close as I could get to Syd's new look in ESO. He wears a full set of Mercenary Medium armor, with Khajiit boots. custom dye to resemble the Dark Brotherhood's Shrouded Armor colors. Although the Dark Brotherhood in ESO does have it's own costume and also gear motif, I chose to make my own based on the Mercenary motif which suits it pretty well. I did this because at least 6 out of 10 players are wearing the Shrouded Armor costume. Also, the actual Dark Brotherhood motif isn't the prettiest :P Even their rivals, the Assassin's League has better-looking gear. Heck! Even the Thieve's Guild gear is a lot better!
Mercenary has got to be the most awesome looking motif in ESO as of now (personal taste), and the best thing, I've probably seen only two other players using it ever since I started playing again. And definitely I've got to be the only one with this custom-made color scheme :D

Name: Syd'mizar
Race: Khajiit
Breed: Mixed Cathay
Age: Unknown. He was born somewhere between the year 175 and 185 during the 4th Era in a small village near Dune in the Khajiit homeland, Elsweyr.
Height: 5'6ft - 1.73mt
Weight: 128lb
Fur color: Charcoal gray, and light gray. Note: Black markings appear with his winter coat and are not present in his summer coat.
Eyes: Icy blue
Noticeable characteristics: His appearance has said to change depending on seasons and location. If Syd finds himself in the far north of Tamriel for an extended period of time, his coat will get thicker, he will develop black markings on his face as well as his tail. The fur on his cheeks will thicken substantially. More commonly, Syd's fur is known to be very short and shiny solid dark grey.
Weapon of choice: Dual Daggers
Second weapon of choice: Syd is also very skilled at managing Greatwsords if the occasion demands it.
Other weapons: Any light, mid-range bow would do.
Magic: Never. Syd does not believe in magic.
Favorite armor type: Reinforced clothes and leather-based armors with light metal platings.
Alignment: Neutral, but that might vary. Syd can be very unstable due to his horrible past. Syd is very sensitive, he does have a very kind heart, a mellow personality, often flirtatious and he's extremely loyal. But he can easily distort reality and immerse himself in his tormented mindset, making him very unpredictable and dangerous. Syd can be empathetic in one second, and the other he can murder based on his own traumatized logic without any remorse. He does not cope with lies and betrayal.
Occupation: Full-time adventurer and sell-sword. Obtainer of goods, trinkets, odds and ends that people might not miss. Syd also has a secret life as an assassin for the Dark Brotherhood.
Facts and other things:
-Trained by his adoptive Bosmer father to have full control of his own mass. This gives Syd an agility hardly matched even by other Khajiiti. His strength to weight ratio is also something to be noticed.
-Exceptional archery skills. Another perk earned after being raised by a Bosmer, and highlighted by his superior beast senses. Despite this, Syd rarely makes use of these skills, unless the occasion demands it.
-Syd is known for not believing in magic, and despite he has managed to control beginner level electricity-based "spells," he never accepts it, trying to find logical explanations for it.
-Advanced knowledge on mineral tampering and smithing.
-Very avid craftsman, although he prefers to modify already existing apparel.
-Despite his size, Syd has a passion for Greatswords. His training enables him to use the weight of the sword in unison with his own body mass and the Nirn's gravity in a graceful display of fully calculated movements. Seeing Syd carrying a sword as big as him is quite the view. More surprising is seeing this fragile Khajiit waving it like if it was weightless. He as of late has left his Greatwords and keeps them as collection items.
-His mental instability can make Syd either easily manipulated, unpredictable and extremely dangerous for non-Khajiit.
-Syd seems to show his good nature permanently when around Khajiiti. He adores his kind and will do whatever he can to be with other Khajiit for as long as possible.
-As a very little cub, Syd's village was ravaged by Bandits. His family killed before his eyes as he was mercilessly raped and left for dead. This past is what conflicts with Syd's natural good nature, making him unstable and finally lead him to the path of an assassin.
-Syd was saved and cared for by a Bosmeri family that roamed Elswyr. They accidentally came across the ravaged village and little agonizing Syd.
-The same fate was lived by his adoptive family years later, leaving Syd an orphan once again. Imperial soldiers who managed to save most of the village sent him to an orphanage.
-Grelod the Kind was in charge of this orphanage in Cyrodiil. She made Syd's life a living hell, often instigating the rest of the orphans to torture Syd and have him as a slave for being a mere "animal" in their logic.
-Later on in his life, he lived as a homeless, scrawny Khajiit who scavenged for food. He was caught by an Imperial Patrol while he sneaked in the border of Skyrim and Cyrodil in search for food. Being sent to the block without any remorse is what finally triggered Syd's psychopathic behavior. Despite he still refused to murder, it made him grow in strength and bravery. He embraced his training, and sought to become stronger, somewhat helped by the strange legend of the Dragonborn, who he apparently was connected to.
-Syd became extremely powerful, acquiring knowledge and strength he could only dream of. With time and after defeating powerful foes that threatened Tamriel, Syd managed to calm down and actually make a peaceful living in Skyrim. That was until he visited Windhelm and heard the rumors of what happened in the Arentino Residence... When speaking with this child, he heard a name that pierced his soul, letting out the horrible memories that once tormented him. That finally broke Syd...
-Despite all the power he had gathered, the fear he felt as a cub never subsided. No one was ever fair to him, so why should he be? -he asked himself- He involved himself with the Dark Brotherhood, and by the time he thought he had made a mistake, he was already too deep into this dark world. Somehow, killing made his fear of those bandits that killed his family not overwhelm him in his sleep. It was a vicious cycle of pleasure and regret he would never get away from.
-Syd managed to calm his anger once the Emperor was dead. He once again felt remorse and sought to redeem himself for all the lives he took. After the Alduin incident, it was rumored that Syd managed to defeat a vampire lord, as well as a rouge Dragonborn, saving many from evil.
-Syd retired in peace, with his best friend J'zargo and adoptive son Ma'rakah, until an unfortunate event following the experiment of the now lost college mate Arniel, fueled by their curious nature, made Syd disappear from Tamriel... Will J'zargo and Ma'rakha will ever find him? Where did Syd ended up? Maybe the future will tell...

I love this! and your work on the metallic areas is amazing.
I hope you don't mind me saying so, but personally I think a different background color would have helped. It might just be my monitor but t first glance I didn't differentiate the red armor from the red background.
...you do commissions? :3

Thank you! I think it's on my end. I recently bought a new gaming monitor which unfortunately isn't the best for art and I'm still trying to figure out my color palette. I'm looking at it on my phone and the reds do seem a bit too dark, which blends them in more than I would've hoped for.
