After a lot of thought, I decided to throw Lionfish into the mix of Hunter's species, making his mom a lionfish goat hybrid and his dad a tiger cat hybrid.
Anyway, as you can see he has quills all over that have venom. In small doses it doesn't do much, but in larger doses you will feel euphoric (good) as well as physically and mentally tired. Making you easier prey for him to eat >:3
This works against him though if he jabs someone during his own consumption, leaving him to digest in a now sleepy pred's gut.
This venom has no lasting effects.
Hunter is a part time same size (or smaller) pred now :3
Edit: a few small things have changed since I made this ref. It is now updated
Note: all the spines face back from head to toe except the ones on the beginning of his tail. Meaning that if you eat him head first you only need to worry about the spines near his tail.
Side-note: the fins on his back are optional when drawing him. (I might not draw them all the time either)
