This is both a bit of personal art, as well as an example for flat colored chibis (which I want to open for commissions soon-ish)

I've been wanting to doodle up my cat boy Shadow for quite some time now, so I finally decided to. (he's from like... 2005)
But I wasn't sure what to have him doing, so I asked my friend Tetsumiro to choose a letter and number from that expression meme that's been going around.
She ended up picking C3, which is crying/distraught. So... I went with it. lol It was good expression practice! Though I still don't know what he's crying about.

As I was telling her, adult Shadow is cynical and angry (he's smol and angry) most of the time. With flights of curiosity/intrigue. He doesn't really break down and cry often. And I was talking about the fact that the only time I could imagine him breaking down and crying, is when he was very, very young and he'd just lost his parents. (ie. they died) It's not so much that he's emotionally made of cardboard, and more the fact that he just doesn't like crying, and therefore attempts to make sure he doesn't.

But who knows. lol Maybe something tragic happened to a friend/lover. He's technically single ATM, but, ey.
