Any support (even $1 a month) will help me post more awesome content more frequently and give you exclusive access to cool stuff!
You can even vote on what you want to see! Plus the opportunity to play Bingo to win FREE ART! ^^
Come check it out please and thank you! :3
The moment is finally upon us... the moment when I finally stop planning to work on art and actually start doing it. Months of organizing, planning, and waiting for the right time to launch my art initiative have all amounted to what I like to refer to as...
The Productivity Revolution!
The Productivity Revolution works in tandem with my Patreon (<--have yourself a click. You know you want to) to keep me focused on plowing through my overwhelming, multi-tiered mountain of backed up art, commissions and other projects. Now in addition to just completing the work, I can play off of my "accomplishment gamer" tendencies and try to 100% this gameboard as I chip away at my queue. Plus it will help me focus on completing each task 100% before getting distracted or moving on to another project.
If you are interested in the finer mechanics of how this thing works, read the rundown below, and perhaps consider following me over on Patreon to keep a closer look at my progress! You'll find more updates, WIPs, polls and other cool stuff over there, so what are you waiting for? ;3
Or you can just go about your business and wait for the uploads to happen. Either way, content is coming and hopefully a lot of it. This board will of course update as each project is completed, so you'll always have a good idea what to expect next. ^^
So if you're interested in reading further, here's a detailed synopsis...
PRODUCTIVITY REVOLUTION
LAUNCH DATE:
01/01/2017
OBJECTIVE:
To steadily work my way through an enormous backlog of art commissions, personal art, fursuit videos ideas, music recordings and more. And when that’s done... keep going!
WHAT IS IT?
The Productivity Revolution is an organized plan of attack for fulfilling my creative goals. It’s functional purpose is to A) Keep all my ideas and goals structured in a way that makes it easier to be productive and keep focused, and B) Make it more fun to tediously chip away at projects while involving followers, fans and Patrons in the experience!
OVERVIEW:
A gameboard with 100 spaces keeps me on track while giving me the satisfaction of seeing visible progress as each space is colored in one by one (1 space per 1 project completed).
Which project to work on next is chosen in 1 of 5 ways: Artist’s Choice, Patron’s Pick, Shared Selection, Special Focus or Random!
1) Artist’s Choice
The artist will choose what art category and which project specifically (usually reserved for time sensitive, priority, or overly neglected projects)
2) Patron’s Pick
The choice of category and specific project goes to those who have signed up to support my Patreon with donations of $1 or more per month. Said Patrons will be given a vote, first on creative category (art, videos, music and comics), as well as any sub-category (see below) followed by a multiple choice selection from a short list of projects from the winning categories (as chosen from the queue by the artist).
Sub-Categories:
[FOR PATRONS' EYES ONLY. To all the rest, it's a secret. ^^]
3) Shared Selection
The artist chooses either the creative category or the specific project. Patrons get to vote on whichever the artist does not choose to select. If the artist chooses the category, he will give Patrons a multiple choice vote on which project to work on from the chosen category. If the artist chooses to select the specific project, Patrons will first be given a vote on which creative category the artist will choose from.
4) Special Focus
The artist (or the Patrons) will choose a category/project to focus on for one week. During this time, focus must remain on the chosen category/project and may include various levels of progress, including stages of planning or setup, script or song writing, studying, practice, recording/editing, or just a string of projects over the course of a week.
5) RANDOM!
Spin a colored category wheel and pick a number! Nobody knows which project will be worked on until fate decides!
BASIC RULES:
The artist will complete projects one by one until all 100 spaces on the gameboard are filled. When that happens, the gameboard will be cleared and a new Productivity Revolution will begin using new and leftover project ideas from the artist’s queue (There will never be a lack of material, trust me).
First, the artist must figure out which project will be worked on next. To do so, he must choose 1 of the 5 methods to determine the next project. There is no game for selecting the method, as that is 100% the artist’s choice. The method must then be followed to determine the project or focus.
Once a project or focus is chosen, the artist must use all his creative time to concentrate solely on completing that project before any other, or on fulfilling the requirements of the Special Focus week.
Productivity Revolution efforts may be interrupted to fulfill Patreon requirements, such as bonus material or special perks (streams, prizes, etc). Interruptions due to work/family/life will also occur. Quality over quantity will be the focus, as steady progress is preferred to hard deadlines (which may be difficult to adhere to).
Artist always has final say on projects and can exercise that right whenever he so chooses for whatever reason (although I will try not to abuse this).
Disclaimer: There is no “winning” the Productivity Revolution. There is only progress and many possible new projects to explore and share, as well as a Patreon that will always require new content. If the Productivity Revolution results in any significant progress on a massive backlog that has burdened me for years, it will be considered a success.
And that's basically it! Just a simple thing to keep track of progress and motivate me to keep on reaching for the stars! My favorite part is the Patron's Pick to figure out what you guys want me to work on next. That's also a good way to get me started on projects that otherwise I wouldn't get to for years, if ever (and you get to see it much sooner than the general public). Again, see my Patreon for details.
To climb a mountain, one must first take a step. A small one. Followed by another, and another and another....
Here's hoping I don't die before I reach the top. X3
