Oh, that's because they are :D I avoid doing this when I work but the sky is mostly a photo that I took. This is what you call a photobash, where you use photos to quickly put together an image. But as you can see in my other paintings, I prefer to paint everything from scratch.

Outstanding work !
Few people are actually mastering photobashing as you have done here...
Ones usually add a (blurred) photo in the background and that's all.
The way you have succeeded to merge both photo and drawing is brilliant !!!

One more leg on that steel beast and it would have seemed like something out of a certain H.G. Wells novel. The whole piece certainly has the appropiate look to it.
